About CTET-
The Teacher Eligibility Test, known as TET, is the minimum qualification in India for a person to be eligible for the entrance examination for teachers, The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both the central government and state governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted in order to fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act.
CBSE conducts CTET twice in a year. CTET 2016 exam is going to be conducted on 21 February 2016 and 18 September 2016. This eleventh edition of CTET will be conducted in 20 languages in 92 Indian cities.

CTET recruitment 2020-Detailed Eligibility criteria:
Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
- Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
Selection Process:
- All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct.
- Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.
- Duration of examination – Two-and-a-half hours for 150 Marks.
- There will be two papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. - The main question paper shall be Bilingual (Hindi/English).
Minimum Qualifying Marks: A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass.
